Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract,
Soothing; this powerful antioxidant has polyphenols (flavonoids) known to be effective against free radicals and some cancers. Inhibits metalloproteinases (MMPs) collagenase and elastases that breakdown collagen and elastin; MMPs are enzymes whose excessive activity contributes to the degradation of the skin's matrix. This is one of my favorite Atzen products. It gently exfoliates and removes dead skin cells. Most of all it does not leave my skin dry like other products. Use every 2nd or 3rd day or daily for congested skin. On clean and moistened skin, use 1/4 tsp. and massage briskly in circular motion on face, neck, and neckline. Rinse with water, towel dry, follow with Hydrating Toner and Soothing Mask. Can be used in shower.
